Is being healthy equivalent to being fit: Distinguish between Fitness and Health

The difference between health and fitness is that one is focused on how your body functions, while the other focuses on how good you look & feel. How healthy a person is can depend on the lifestyle they choose, which reflects their condition of being physically fit and how healthy they are. The most popular health and fitness topics consist of healthy diets and exercise programs that help to keep your health at an optimum level. Health is not just about the physical well-being of your body and how it looks, but it also includes mental and social well-being. If you are physically fit but struggling with depression, then you cannot be considered completely healthy. Being fit and healthy first starts with building habits to realize the transition.

Lifestyle VS health fitness Career

The benefits of good health and fitness are many and varied. Physical fitness can help prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure. This is why enthusiasts believe fitness should be a part of your lifestyle rather than a career or 30-day challenge. When we view this as a part of our lifestyle, results seem to manifest with longevity. Good fitness practices reduce the risk of injury or illness while at work or in leisure activities. Allowing you to experience a better quality of life that lasts longer than any career.

The mental benefits of exercise on your health are worth the commitment alone. It is commonly asked: How does exercise help with mental health? In this article, we will show you how exercise and mental health go hand in hand. If a person is mentally healthy they are more likely to have better control over their emotions and behavior which in turn promotes a happier life. Below are activities that encourage and inspire good health. Just as being fit demands physical activities here are some activities to help improve your overall health:

● Read: Choose any literature that you like and read at least 10 pages a day.

● Rest: Sleeping for 7-8 hours daily will help rest the mind and body, and promote good health.

● Mental exercise: Games such as chess, checkers, sudoku, and even puzzles are great tools to help build and maintain optimal health.

● Healthy diet: Minimize foods such as carbs, sugars, and dairy products. These items cause and promote illness.

● Breath & Posture: Breathing helps oxygen travel throughout the body which enables you to think more clearly and control your blood pressure. Posture helps develop intangible strengths, discipline, and accountability to yourself.

● Meditation: Set your intentions, goals, and desires as much as possible. Use the power of meditation to envision, and manifest all the things you desire into existence.

● Do what you love: Take time to enjoy the things that make you happy. DO NOT let anything come between you and your happiness.

● Gratitude: Express gratitude to and share compliments with as many people as you can. The universe will notice this intention and have these acts of gratitude reciprocated upon you. Studies show that compliments will make you happier and your days more enjoyable.

● Charity: In today’s self-centered world that is filled with responsibility. We forget how personally impactful it is to give back and do something for someone else. These types of good deeds will boost morale, confidence, and the ability to connect with others.

Fitness is all about the physical condition of your body. So if you exercise regularly and keep your body in shape, you are more likely to be fit. Many people think it takes years to see physical results but in reality, this occurs in a matter of weeks when exercise is combined with a healthy diet. Fitness is purely focused on the physical aspects of existence, and it is based on many factors. Listed below are the different components that describe fitness as a whole. We address each category function to help your journey to optimal fitness:

● Stamina- It is about your body’s ability to store, process, and use energy.

● Endurance- Your body can use oxygen properly.

● Strength- It is about the force your muscles can apply.

● Flexibility- It is all about how easily you can move around without any stiffness.

● Speed- The ability to achieve the goal in the shortest amount of time.

● Coordination- The organization of the different elements of a complex body that help execute functions.

● Accuracy- The ability to guide the movement of a body in the desired direction.

● Agility- The ability to move quickly and with ease laterally and straight ahead.

● Balance- Being able to control the center of gravity of your body concerning your support base.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health.” Just 30 minutes a day on the treadmill can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing certain chronic diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and cancer by up to 50% while lowering health risks. Although health and fitness are different, being physically active can improve your overall health and mood. Being in shape often correlates with having good health and being physically attractive. The two often go hand-in-hand. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle requires dedication and can be difficult to stick to, but the long-term benefits are worth the effort.

The journey towards better health WILL be challenging, but the long-term advantages make the efforts worthwhile.
